Gatsby Movie- What theme seems to be most prevelant in novel and film? Explain.
The theme that was the most prevalent to me was people using materialistic things to cover up and deal with their emotions. This worked for a while but in the end, everything caught back up to them one way or another.

The theme that I find most prevalent in the movie is that money does not buying you everything. You may be able to have enough money to buy any tangible object in the world but just like in Gatsby's case, he does not have love and he shows how even with all of his money, he cant buy love.
The themes that is most prevalent in the great gatsby is that you may repeat the past but you may be able to replicate it. As shown when Daisy told tom that she loved Gatsby also.
The most prevalent theme in the movie is that loveless relationships should not be pursued. I think the movie demonstrates how relationships do not work out if they are not the same for each partner.
I believe that the most prevalent theme in the movie is that you cannot redo or repeat the past. Gatsby tried so hard to daisy back and he believed that she would come back but did not.
The most prevelant theme in the novel I believe is that if you live a fake life just to reach a goal you will eventually die and be surrounded by the same lies that you lived around.
The most prevelant theme in the novel is if you cheat anything whether it is the American dream or just a goal you have it will come back and haunt you in the future.

The most prevalent theme in the movie, The Great Gatsby is the theme of motivation. Within the theme of motivation are smaller themes/ideas of motivation such as, money, love, and power. All of these themes are seen and motivate the characters in this movie.
