  1. I definitely believe that citizens should have greatly influence laws and the consequences for breaking them. It only makes sense that we would have a say in the decision considering weshould be the focal point of the government. Obviously the big problem with allowing citizens to make laws is that some believe that there would not be any laws, but we would still have a government in place to keep thesociety under control. I also believe that the government should be the main group enforcing laws. I feel this way becuase only the government has enough power to prevent and punish people from breaking laws.

  2. I believe that the mother should not be able to give the child anything. Because once the child receives something it automatically becomes illegal due to the fact that they have possession of it. However i also feel we should legalize drinking and pot at the age of 18. This might help the economy by enabling more stores and businesses to start up. Plus if the government feels 18 year olds are old enough to make a political vote, they should be able to handle the choices involving alcohol and drugs. However many precautions must be takes with this legalization. For example there must be stricter laws enforced for possession under 18. For example probation, and laws dealing with schools and sports. Also with this legalization at the age of 18 the demand and usage of both substances would dramatically increase. Lastly i feel citizens should have a major say in laws for the area in which they live, maybe not the final say, but definitely a vote or a say.
